Relafen UPDATE

Relafen is an anti-inflammatory drug used in the treatment of arthritis, rheumatism, gout, bursitis, tendonitis, and menstrual cramps. The active ingredient in Relafen is nabumetone. GlaxoSmithKline Corporation (GSK) and its predecessors have manufactured and sold the brand name prescription drug Relafen since 1992.
A class action complaint against GSK by end-payors alleging violations of federal antitrust law and state antitrust and unfair and deceptive trade practices acts arising from the manufacture and marketing of Relafen, a brand name drug .
The parties filed a settlement agreement on May 20, 2004, and Judge Young granted preliminary approval for a $75 million settlement on November 24, 2004.
