John David Simpson has 20 years of broad and diverse legal experience which includes corporate, general business, entertainment transactions, as well as civil and criminal litigation. His client list includes small and medium sized businesses as well as scores of individuals. Attorney Simpson has almost 10 years of judicial and quasi-judicial experience. He currently serves as an Administrative Hearing Officer/Judge for the City of Detroit presiding over hundreds of cases involving rate disputes between the Detroit Water Department and its customers. In 2008 Simpson was appointed as the first African American male Magistrate of the 46th District Court in Oakland County, which has one of the busiest dockets in Michigan.
Over the years Attorney Simpson has been able to leverage his broad based legal expertise and business acumen to become a successful entrepreneur creating business ventures in entertainment, the restaurant and bar industry, and consulting. He has served as consultant to companies such as ESPN, Diageo, Vibe Magazine and Big Boy Restaurants and consulted on events such as the Detroit Super Bowl and the Detroit Grand Prix. In addition, he has served as General Counsel to several small businesses. Attorney Simpson’s business and entrepreneurial experience add a unique and practical dimension to his practice that brings added value to his clients. |
